How do you define adventure travel? Does it have to mean jumping out of a plane or scaling Half Dome in Yosemite? Or can it be a “softer” type of adventure, like hiking in the woods, kayaking on a nice lake, or maybe learning to drive an ATV in the desert?
The first type I have not done much of. I do want to jump out of a plane some day (or at least I say I do). But I have done indoor skydiving in Oregon. I’ve zip-lined across Mexico’s Copper Canyon. And I have plans to walk 300 miles across the Netherlands one day soon. For many people–especially for us older women–simply traveling solo is a huge adventure all on its own.
So what is your type of adventure? Expect this section to grow. A lot. I’m not getting any younger here, and if I want to really “Kiss the World,” I need to get busy with some of the truly exciting stuff. Come along with me.
